The only thing you are in complete control of in business, is the effort you put into something.
Guess what… Most things that fail, fail because you didn’t put enough effort into it.
When a staff member doesn’t work out, did you honestly do everything you could to help them succeed?
When the business doesn’t perform, are you working at your very best to turn it around or leaving it to others?
When a relationship isn’t harmonious, are you doing everything in your power to make it work?
When you don’t know where the money is going, are you as financially literate as you could be?
Most of our issues and problems could be dealt with if we took ownership and accountability for things. I’m guilty of this and no doubt you are too.
Put more effort into something and get better results. Of course, the effort has to be in the right areas, but effort always trumps talent and to some degree, luck.
