When trying to grow, scale or systemise your business, you should always look outside your industry, for ideas, inspiration, and motivation.

Far too often, I feel we copy or model other agencies and not look elsewhere, as if we are frightened to try something new.

Don’t get me wrong, some things will work, but most things can be better.

Most of our best ideas come from industries such as hospitality, automotive, manufacturing, sport etc.

Very few are solely from estate or letting agents. We may have got the original idea, but it’s been improved from looking outside.

Always be learning, always try something new, don’t be scared to be different to your competitors.

The best agents I know try new things, innovate and are always open to new ideas. Just because it’s always been done like that, doesn’t mean it’s the best way to do it.
